Luther’s Small Catechism
Welcome to the table, friend
Welcome to this journey through Luther’s Small Catechism, a journey that is really about something bigger than memorizing answers, it’s about spending time with Jesus, learning His gifts, and letting His Word shape your daily life. The Small Catechism was written as a teaching aid for ordinary Christians, especially for parents to teach their children in the home, so that the faith wouldn’t stay trapped in church walls but would be spoken, prayed, and lived right there in the household, at the breakfast table, in the carpool line, and at bedtime.
That’s why this book is designed to be an aid for you and your household, something you can return to again and again, not as a homework assignment, but as a steady rhythm of confession and comfort, Law that tells the truth about us, and Gospel that tells the truer truth about Christ for us.
May this book be an aid and a blessing to you, deepening your relationship with Jesus, and strengthening you for the joy of sharing the faith with the people God has placed in your life. Amen.
